Anterior ceramic crowns and veneers
Problem:
An older female patient was not happy with her front teeth that had a lot of fillings. Over time, the fillings had become discoloured, there were stained fractures in the enamel and the biting edges of the teeth had become worn down.
Solution:
During the consultation it was decided that the upper six front teeth will be covered with ceramic crowns that have a more ‘youthful’ look to them.
Result:
The patient has a smile that is healthier, more beautiful and youthful.
Problem:
A 43-year-old man had broken one of his front teeth in an accident. As all his other teeth were in very good condition, the loss of half a front tooth was very devastating for the patient.
Solution:
During the consultation it was decided that the tooth will be covered with a partial crown while preserving the remaining tooth tissue as much as possible. It was very difficult to find the exact shade that would look good with the adjacent teeth.
Result:
The patient can smile again without feeling discomfort.
Problem:
The patient wished to exchange two old metal-ceramic front tooth crowns for new ones.
Solution:
During the consultation it became clear that the front teeth contained many incorrect fillings. In cooperation with the patient, it was decided that in order to achieve a beautiful smile line, 10 upper teeth need to be covered with crowns or veneers, and worn or decayed lower molars need to be restored with ceramic crowns. To visualise the final result and show it to the patient, we created a wax model.
Result:
We restored the proper masticatory function of the teeth and a beautiful smile line.
The patient’s self-confidence and wish to smile grew instantly.
Problem:
The patient wished to restore their front teeth that had been repaired with numerous fillings. In addition, the patient was bothered by the discolouration.
Solution:
In cooperation with the patient, we decided to restore the teeth in two stages. During the first stage we crowned eight upper teeth and during the second stage we crowned the lower teeth.
Result:
We restored the patient’s upper front teeth with ceramic crowns, after which the patient had the courage to enjoy smiling again.
Problem:
This young male patient was bothered by the fact that his front teeth had shifted from the centre and were unevenly spaced. The teeth had been repaired repeatedly with fillings but the fillings failed to adhere. The patient was not happy with the less than aesthetic look of the teeth. According to the patient, the condition of the teeth caused him stress and he tried not to smile when communicating with others.
Solution:
In cooperation with the patient, it was decided that in order to correct the position of the teeth and to achieve the desired look, six teeth needed to be covered with veneers and one needed to be crowned. To visualise the final result and show it to the patient, we created a wax model.
Result:
We restored the patient’s upper front teeth with ceramic veneers and a crown. According to the patient, he now feels more confident and unrestricted. Smiling is not a problem for him anymore.
Problem:
This female patient felt uncomfortable smiling, so she tried to hide her front teeth with her upper lip. Years ago, the decayed front tooth was supported with a metal post and covered with a metal-ceramic crown. Over time, the metal post started to show through the gums. The other three front teeth had big and old fillings.
Solution:
We covered the metal post with a special material that does not allow the metal to show through. To ensure the uniform shape and colour of the teeth, we placed ceramic crowns on four upper front teeth.
Result:
We minimised the bluish tint of the metal post in the gums. The dental arch is now more uniform. The patient can confidently smile again and does not have to hide her teeth with her upper lip.
Problem:
For years, this female patient had been bothered by her front teeth, that have had numerous fillings, have chipped and were worn. The patient was also not happy about the discolouration.
Solution:
During the consultation it was decided that the upper eight front teeth will be covered with ceramic veneers and crowns. The lower teeth were to be whitened.
Result:
The patient’s smile line became more even and bright.
